Alexa Chung is on a roll. After being signed to front numerous uber cool brands in 2011, she has now been announced as the face and the Creative Director of Italian footwear brand Superga for spring summer 2012.

Alexa was given full creative control and styled the campaign shoot along with photographer Guy Aroch. As per usual, Chung looks effortlessly cool and quirky even when covered from the neck downwards with a duvet and has really added her unique brand of hipster chic to the brand.

Deadmau5, Calvin Harris and Sebastian Ingrosso are set to play a charity event with Rihanna in LA this month.

The event, which takes place at the Los Angeles House of Blues on February 12 is in aid of LA's Children's Orthopaedic Center, with tickets costing a fair old chunk of money at $1,000 each.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Children's Hospital, Los Angeles.

The event takes place on the same night as The Grammy's which the Swedes, Seb Grosso and Deadmau5 are all nominated for.

Orbital have been announced as the first act for Bestival 2012.

The reformed rave godfathers will headline The Big Top on the Sunday night of the festival which takes place between September 6-9.

Festival organiser, Rob Da Bank also revealed that he will announce an act a day up until mid February when a big announcement will be made, as well as announcing a wildlife fancy dress theme for the festival.

Bestival has also announced twelve new things for 2012 including brand new structures from Arcadia, more camping space and a revamped Bollywood Bar.

It has been reported that the venue will hold an impressive 1,200 people and is part of a larger events centre that will contain up to 4,000 people.

This certainly sounds like The Star is getting ready to introduce some serious new club action to Sydney.

But add in a couple of old faves – including Alter Ego’s crunching, topsy-turvy rerub of Octave One’s signature tune, Blackwater – and you’ve got a package that sprawls majestically across an entire genre. Fluid tech-house (Aril Brikha’s take on ‘Daystar Rising’), Balearic, jazzy techno (the Los Hermanos remix of ‘Somedays’), and moody, dubsteppy 4/4 (Sandwell District’s take on ‘I Believe’) all make for a fitting tribute.

After closing the doors of their Store Street home on New Years Day, The Warehouse Project will return with a brand new venue on Easter Sunday.

Details of their new home are still under wraps but we can announce a host of names for the event including Loco Dice, Carl Craig, Jamie Jones, Claude VonStroke, Scuba and Maya Jane Coles.

Although no details of the venue have emerged, the organisers have hinted that their return on April 8 will be on a bigger scale saying that this event will propel them into a new era of epic sizes and proportions.
