Lana Del Rey BRIT Awards: Singer Crowned International Breakthrough Act

Singer/meme Lana Del Rey has picked up the trophy for International Breakthrough Act at this evening's BRIT Awards in London, BBC reports. Apparently, the near universal panning of Del Rey's 'SNL' performance as well as subsequent doubt of both her artistic integrity and staying power did not extend to the British Isles.

After accepting the award from Black Eyed Pea Will.i.am and comedian Rob Brydon, the singer gave an emotional acceptance speech saying, "This award means much more to me than you know and I just wanna say that without the support of everyone is this room and everyone in the U.K. I'd really be lost, so thank you, I love you." Perhaps she should consider a move to England?
