Paul McCartney / Stevie Wonder Team Up



Sir Paul McCartney has spoken about recent recording sessions with soul icon Stevie Wonder.

Sir Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder go back a long way. The Motown icon has a famous love of the Beatles, and once turned 'We Can Work It Out' in a soulful stomper.

Teaming up in 1982 for 'Ebony & Ivory' the pair enjoyed an international hit. The sole time these artists have crossed paths in the studio, Sir Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder recently decided to renew their acquaintance.

Dropping by Capital Studios for hook up with the former Beatle, Stevie Wonder laid down a solo on 'Only Our Hearts'. Speaking recently, Sir Paul McCartney revealed his admiration for the soul titan.

"Stevie came along to the studio in LA and he listened to the track for about ten minutes and he totally got it. He just went to the mic and within 20 minutes had nailed this dynamite solo. When you listen you just think, 'How do you come up with that?' But it's just because he is a genius, that's why".

'Only Our Hearts' is a McCartney composition, destined to appear on new album 'Kisses On The Bottom'. A collection of pre-rock 'n' roll standards, you can stream lead single 'My Valentine' below...

'Kisses On The Bottom' is due to be released on February 6th.
