Young Magic have posted a new preview of their forthcoming debut album 'Melt'.
What is it with bands using the word 'magic' in their name? It seems to be the new trend, so much so that ClashMusic recently roped in My Tiger My Timing's Anna Vincent to analyse the phenomenon.
Hailing from Brooklyn, Young Magic are part of this trend. But the band's music is so fluid, so graceful, so indefinable that it would be churlish to lump them in with some meme chasing bunch of hipsters.
Esteemed American indie Carpark are due to release Young Magic's debut album 'Melt' on February 20th. Fusing tribal percussion, dream pop, glitchy hip hop beats and more the long player expands beyond any boundaries, any genre name placed in its way.
The band recently uploaded a new clip to their Vimeo account to act as a preview of sorts. 'Drawing Down The Moon' comes backed with visuals from Sergei Parajanov's film 'The Color of Pomegranates'.
